Casement lock

Also called cam handle, sash handle

The lever on the latch side that pulls a casement sash tight against the frame.

The casement lock is a handle on the stile opposite the hinges. Turning it engages catches on the frame and pulls the sash firmly against the weatherstripping. Larger casements often have several catches driven by one handle.

It does the same job as the sash lock on a double-hung window, which locks the two sashes together instead.
