Glazing
The glass in a window, and the work of installing it.
Glazing is the glass itself. Single glazing is one layer of glass; double and triple glazing are sealed units of two or three layers with gas or air between them for insulation.
Glazing also names the act of setting glass into a sash, which is why the putty that holds a pane in an old sash is called glazing compound.
