Cladding
The weatherproof skin fixed over the outside of a wood window.
Cladding covers the faces of a wood window that are exposed to the weather. It is most often aluminum, either a sturdy extrusion or thinner sheet rolled to shape, and sometimes vinyl or fiberglass.
It comes with a factory finish and takes the place of exterior paint.
