Pultrusion
A length of fiberglass made by pulling resin-soaked glass fibers through a heated die.
A pultrusion is pulled through its die where an extrusion is pushed. Bundles and mats of glass fiber are wetted with resin and drawn through a heated die that sets the resin hard in the shape of the section.
The fibers run the length of the piece, which makes it very stiff for its weight, so the walls can be thin.
