Chamber
Also called cavity
One of the hollow cells inside a vinyl extrusion.
A vinyl extrusion is not solid. Thin internal walls divide it into chambers. The walls stiffen the section, and the still air in each chamber insulates, so an extrusion with more chambers loses less heat.
Some chambers have other jobs. One may carry water to the drain holes, and another may be sized to hold reinforcement.
