Lite
Also called pane, light
A single sheet of glass in an insulating glass unit.
Each layer of glass in a unit is a lite. A double-glazed unit has two, called the outer lite and the inner lite, and a triple-glazed unit has three. They are usually 3 to 6 mm thick, and toughened glass is used where safety requires.
