Dutch door
Also called stable door, half door
A door split in two horizontally so the top half opens on its own.
A Dutch door is cut across the middle into two leaves that hang separately from the same jamb. Both can be bolted together to work as one door, or the top half can be opened to let in air and light while the lower half keeps out animals and children.
