Flanker
Also called side unit, wing
One of the angled side windows of a bay, joining the center unit to the wall.
A flanker is one of the two windows that angle back from the center unit to meet the wall. Flankers are commonly casements or double-hung windows so that the bay can be opened.
They are joined to the center unit at the mullions, and to the wall at the jambs of the opening.
