Apron

The trim board on the wall directly beneath the stool.

The apron is the flat piece of trim fixed to the wall under the stool. It covers the joint between the bottom of the window opening and the wall finish, and visually supports the stool.

An apron is usually cut to the same width as the outside edges of the side casings.
